Visiting Love-Rugs Showroom From Airdrie or Coatbridge

It's been a fair few years since the Monklands' towns of Airdrie and Coatbridge had the Weavers' Cottage Museum and you would be going back more then a century to a time when the hand-looms of Airdrie were active. 

But thankfully both towns are very close-by to Scotland's largest rug store. 

Getting Here From Airdrie & Coatbridge

Love-Rugs, Scotland's largest rug showroom is a short trip by car or public transport from both Airdrie and Coatbridge. 

25 minutes by car, and about 40 minutes by train is all it takes to visit Love-Rugs from either of these towns. 

By Car

To visit Love-Rugs rug showroom from Airdrie or Coatbridge by car you should simply join the M8 west-bound towards Glasgow. Head towards Glasgow then take junction 20 at the end of the Kingston Bridge. Use the 2nd from the left lane to exit towards A730/East Kilbride/City Centre,

From here take Wallace Street (swing right as you go through the traffic lights after exiting the motorway then take your second left onto Centre Street. Continue straight, crossing the junction of a main road to pass by the side entrace to A.B.S Cash and Carry then turn right onto Kingston Street as you approach the new build flats and Barclays Bank developement. You will immediately be faced with traffic light and in the middle lanes turn left onto Commerce Street and Love-Rugs will be on your right towards the end of the block.

By Train

From Airdrie, Coatdyke, Coatbridge Sunnyside or Blairhill you can join any train going west (Helensburgh Central and Balloch trains). Exiting at Queen Street where you can either walk down Buchanan street, turning onto Argyle Street to the right, passing under the rail bridge then turning left to cross the water onto Commerce Street and Love-Rugs. Or, take the subway towards Bridge Street where you will only be a few minutes walk from the store. 

From Whifflet train station it is even easier, simply take the train to Glasgow Central and exit, walking south across the King George V Bridge and you will be outside Love-Rugs within 5 minutes of the station.
