Our colour filter combines colours to allow you to discover rugs that contain multiple colours:

- Selecting 1 colour will show rugs with your colour as the only colour followed by rugs with additional colours.

- Selecting 2 colours will show rugs containing only these two colours, followed by rugs with these colours plus other colours.

- Selecting 3 colours will attempt to find rugs that contain all 3 colours followed by matching 2 out of the 3.

What makes a rug feel Bauhaus?

Bauhaus design is grounded in clarity, function and the relationship between shape and colour. Circles, grids, lines and rectangles often do the visual work, sometimes in black and ivory and sometimes with confident accents of red, blue or yellow. Unlike the ornament of Art Deco, a Bauhaus-style rug tends to feel pared back and deliberate.

The most effective designs use contrast thoughtfully. A strong graphic rug can sit beneath simple timber furniture or a contemporary sofa, becoming the focal point without requiring lots of other decoration. If you prefer quieter interiors, choose two-tone geometry or an abstract composition with plenty of open space between its elements.

Living with a geometric Bauhaus rug

Consider scale before choosing a pattern. Large blocks and circles read clearly from a distance, making them useful for open-plan living rooms, while a smaller repeat can bring interest to a home office or reading corner. A lower pile can emphasise crisp edges and is often a practical option beneath dining chairs. Let the rug provide structure, then keep the rest of the palette considered.
