Covid-19 Lockdown FAQs

The UK government have demanded that all non-essential shops close in a bit to slow the spread of the current Coronavirus pandemic. At Love-Rugs we have being doing all we can to ensure a healthy working and shopping environment in-store, however, for the time-being all sales and customer service must be dealt with online.

At Love-Rugs we have one of the largest stocks of rugs in the UK with well over 800 rugs available in-store at any one time. However, online we offer rugs in all shapes and sizes, some of which are required to be ordered from suppliers before being sent, or are dispatched direct from UK suppliers/manufacturers if not in stock in our store at time of ordering. We are still able to dispatch rugs either by ourselves or direct from (certain) suppliers at this time, however delivery times and delays could be a little longer than normal.

Can I return my rug?

During the effective lockdown it may be more difficult for returns to be made due to a number of factors, as a result of this we will expand our returns policy to help ease any issues. Any returns should still be notified by email as soon as possible and within a maximum of 14 days of receipt although in these difficult times we would ask customers to inform us within a few days if at all possible. Returns or collections should still be able to be organised (we can assist in arranging collections from your home) but when and where this makes sense could be dependent on someone being present at the return address to receive the goods.

Custom and bespoke-made rugs are non-refundable as standard.

When will my order be delivered?

As things stand, delivery companies and couriers are still hard at work (and deserve a medal!), we will endeavour to send out every order as quickly as possible. It is difficult to give a time-frame on any individual rug without checking first.

If a rug is in-store it is our plan to open for dispatch once or twice per week, we use next day delivery for all our orders, however, understandably couriers such as UPS or TNT may not be able to delivery next day 100% of the time at present. In these circumstances delivery is likely to take a 4-5 working days depending on when the order is placed.

Should an order be made for a rug not currently in stock, we will request our suppliers to send direct from their warehouse to your address even if it costs us extra. This speeds up delivery times and also reduces contact with parcels. Assuming the supplier has stock of the rug this would generally take 2-4 working days, we would advise to expect an extra few days as all suppliers who remain open are doing so with a skeleton staff and working to the same constraints as everyone with couriers, so we would hope to be able to deliver within 4-7 working days (if stock is available and dependent on the particular supplier).

There are some suppliers and manufacturers (at the moment Louis De Poortere and Asiatic) who are closed down, we will monitor the situation with these suppliers and shutdowns are only expected to last for 2-3 weeks at present. These orders can still be processed (and we would advise to keep orders open as they will accumulate numerous backorder and any rugs that are ordered will be dealt with on a first in, first our basis... once/if they run out of stock then new orders would need to arrive from overseas meaning longer delays. In short, if you are concerned about delivery times just get in touch as we will let you know. Everyone is in the same boat during these challenging times and all we can do is promise to have rugs sent as soon as humanly possible.

Any order that is placed will be processed within 24 hours and we will be able to give you an expected delivery date for. Should you not wish to wait we can cancel any order within 48 hours of dispatch.

We can deliver rugs within the UK and worldwide. UK delivery is free on orders over £150 (excludes Highlands and Islands and Northern Ireland). Outside the UK (or the aforementioned) please contact us for details before purchase.

Can I collect?

Collections should still be possible for local customers, however this would need to be pre-arranged to avoid contact and to organise staff as best as possible. Contact us with any questions or to book a slot.

Do you stock oversized rugs?

We do stock a small number of large rugs, however, most of the rugs we stock are of the size 230x160cm, many of the rugs found on our website can be ordered to various sizes or even made to custom sizes. Custom rugs take longer as they are often made to measure. However if you are willing to wait please get in contact and we will do everything we can to find you the perfect rug in the perfect size.
